Pile Driving Analysis – PDA

Pile Driving Analysis – PDA is a method for dynamic load testing on axial loaded piles.

The method is suitable for piles in friction soil as well as in cohesive soils, chalk and rock, and whether the piles transfer the forces to the surrounding soil through skin friction or toe resistance.

The piles to be tested can be driven or non-driven, and the pile material can be reinforced concrete, steel, wood or any solid material with well known material parameters.

cp test a/s has more than 25 years of experience with PDA-testing in Denmark and abroad.

PDA-testing provides information about:

  • Bearing capacity
  • Distribution on skin friction and tip
  • Pile integrity
    – detects cross section expansion or reduction, cracks, damages or breakage of the pile
  • Estimation of the size of detected defects or damages
